Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu pokušao sam približiti definiciju zakonskog sredstva plaćanja u Republici Hrvatskoj i općenito sredstva plaćanja koja se mogu koristiti. Obradio sam poglavlja koja se odnose na kunu kao zakonsko sredstvo plaćanja, platni promet, novac, žiralni novac, elektronički novac, virtualne valute te digitalni euro. Svaki navedeni pojam objasnio sam i pokušao razjasniti je li on zakonsko sredstvo plaćanja u Republici Hrvatskoj. U radu sam pojmovno odredio svaki od navedenih naslova, ukratko analizirao njihov razvoj i povijest, te prikazao njihov način korištenja u današnjici. Posebnu pozornost dao sam sve bližem uvođenju digitalnih valuta od strane nacionalnih središnjih banaka, a neke države su već na dobrom putu da svoje projekte i istraživanja provedu u djelo i u funkciju stave digitalne valute kao zakonska sredstva plaćanja uz gotovinu.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, I tried to approximate the definition of legal tender in the Republic of Croatia and in general the means of payment that can be used. I have processed the chapters related to the kuna as a legal tender, payment transactions, money, giro money, electronic money, virtual currencies and the digital euro. I explained each of these terms and tried to clarify whether it is a legal tender in the Republic of Croatia. In this paper, I have conceptually defined each of these titles, briefly analyzed their development and history, and presented their use in today. I have paid special attention to the approaching introduction of digital currencies by national central banks, and some countries are already well on their way to putting their projects and research into action and putting digital currencies as legal tender in cash.
